Mochi Workshop - spring Edition
Join Misato and Izumi from Mochi Atelier An in The Hague
In Japan, the cherry blossom season begins in the south (usually Okinawa) around late January, and the “sakura front” slowly moves north, reaching Tokyo around late March to early April.
In this workshop, we will create four different types of mochi with a variety of flavours and designs.
One of them will be a special sakura-inspired mochi, delicately tinted pink to celebrate the arrival of spring.🌸
We’ll start with a tasting session, pairing fresh mochi with fragrant Japanese tea. Then, follow a step-by-step lesson to create four seasonal Mochis
Whether you’re a food lover, a curious home cook, or simply someone who enjoys discovering new cultures, this workshop offers a fun and delicious way to explore Japanese sweets and seasonal traditions. Plus, you'll get to take home your handmade mochi to enjoy or share!
Enjoy a tasting of homemade Mochi paired with tea, followed by a fun, step-by-step lesson in Mochi-making. You’ll create 4 spring-inspired mochi treats, beautifully packaged to gift or savor later. The experience ends with a sweet surprise dessert served with several pairing teas from Exclusivithee. We will also serve matcha at the workshop, and show you have to make it

In order to plan this worksop we have a no-refund policy if you cancel less than 72 hours before the workshop. In such cases, no reimbursement will be given unless you find a substitute participant.
